Long before photography became her profession, Lia Lucas was an entrepreneur at heart. At just seven years old, she started her first small business selling handmade cards, followed by a baked goods venture at fifteen in her hometown of Maryland. Even after moving to Key West, Florida, her passion for building something of her own continued to grow.

While studying marketing at Wilmington University in Delaware, Lia developed a strong understanding of storytelling, branding, and how visual content influences the way people connect with businesses and experiences. After graduating, she eventually settled in South Florida, where her creative path naturally evolved toward photography.

What began as a way to help businesses tell their story visually quickly became Lia’s true creative passion.

Today, through Leave it to Lia, she focuses on capturing meaningful moments and authentic connections through photography. From beachside family sessions to couples, brands, and small businesses, Lia blends her background in marketing with a photographer’s eye to create images that feel natural, timeless, and intentional.

Her work is rooted in simplicity, emotion, and storytelling. Rather than overly posed or forced images, Lia aims to document real moments, genuine laughter, and the small details that make each story unique.

Based in South Florida, Lia photographs along the coast from Delray Beach to Palm Beach and beyond.
